Breakaway East Big Breakfast 2019
Part of the 2019 East Suffolk Business Festival
Thursday 14th November 2019
at Hotel Victoria, Lowestoft – 7.00am to 9.00am
SPEAKERS
Stephen Baker
Chief Executive East Suffolk Council
Stephen Baker has been the Chief Executive of both Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils for ten years, and is now the Chief Executive for the newly-formed East Suffolk Council.
Stephen will be taking the opportunity to update us all on progress with the new Council, as well as discussing both local business opportunities for SMEs and other topical areas currently affecting businesses in the Waveney area.
The local Growth Hub adviser will also be in attendance to discuss grants that can be made available for small businesses, and will be able to discuss further on a “one to one” basis after the formal event has closed.
Geoff Stevens
Chairman of Trustees – Pathways Care Farm
Geoff will share his passion and vision for Pathways Care Farm, which gives vulnerable people the opportunity to learn, re-build and grow through a range of hands-on farming activities.
This might include planting, fruit and vegetable cultivation, helping to restore a barn, animal husbandry or even the basics of machinery maintenance.
Situated in the north of Lowestoft, Pathways is bringing a beautiful 13-acre site, which has been neglected for years, back into productive use. In short, creating an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of busy contemporary life and providing a caring, healthy and therapeutic environment.
We ask for a payment of £10 for breakfast, all of which will be donated towards our chosen charity.
Enjoy a full English breakfast and a great networking opportunity.
